For a while, the work here was pet urns — pieces made for families saying goodbye to a companion, in partnership with a local pet cremation business. Every one was built the same way the larger pieces are now: by hand, one board or slab at a time, with real attention to grain and joinery rather than speed.
That changed with a piece called The Aaron — built for a brother-in-law who passed away unexpectedly. It wasn’t made to be sold. It was made because a family needed something that felt right to hold someone in. Building it changed how I thought about this work, and what it could be.
Since then, that same approach has gone into full-size memorial urns — each one built at its own pace, from a single board or slab, finished by hand. Nothing here is made in batches or to a template. Every piece you see is the actual piece you’d receive — its own grain, its own history, built once.
That’s still how every piece leaves this shop today — one at a time, built to be trusted with something that matters.
